What is Senior Bonus in Singapore?
From 2023 to 2025, Singaporean citizens aged 55 and above can enjoy cash awards of $600 to $900 through the Seniors Bonus plan. Designed for eligible lower-income seniors aged 55 and older, the AP Seniors’ Bonus aims to provide financial support.
The AP Cash program is only for Singaporean nationals; dual citizens are not eligible for these benefits. These reimbursements are part of the AP policies outlined in Budget 2022. The AP includes cash payments, refunds, CDC vouchers, and MediSave top-ups, aiming to support Singaporeans during a period of higher inflation and alleviate the impact of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate increase.

Senior Bonus Payout Date
For qualified AP Cash beneficiaries, payments will be processed from December 2023 to December 2025. Senior Bonus payments for this year are scheduled for processing from February 5–23, 2024. If your NRIC and PayNow are already connected, the payment will be completed on February 5, 2024.
Ensure your NRIC is linked to PayNow by contacting your bank before January 26, 2024. If not connected by then, do so to have the payment credited to your bank account on February 13, 2024. Those without a bank account can update their information via government e-services by January 26, 2024, with funds credited on February 23, 2024, using GovCash. Connect your NRIC to PayNow to expedite reward receipt.
Who is Eligible for Senior Bonus?
To qualify for the AP Seniors’ Bonus, make sure you meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 55 years old and a Singaporean citizen.
- For the Year of Assessment (YA) of the Distribution Year, deduct up to $34,000 from your Assessable Income (AI) for income earned in the Disbursement Year.
- Maintain the property’s Annual Value (AV) below $21,000 for Disbursement Year 2023 and $25,000 for Disbursement Years 2024 and 2025, based on your NRIC as of July 31 of the preceding year.
- Do not be the owner of multiple properties.
