Now, students have the opportunity to secure government-sponsored scholarships in Pakistan, rightfully theirs. Eligibility Criteria

If you’re aspiring for the scholarship but unsure about the eligibility criteria, let us guide you through it. Meeting these criteria will enable you to register and receive monthly scholarship benefits, covering your educational expenses.

  1. Possession of domicile/locality certificate from Gwadar, Lasbela/Hub, Kech (Torbat), or Awaran district of Balochistan.
  2. Successful completion of both Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent.
  3. Completion of 12 years of education with a minimum of 50% marks.
  4. SSC and HSSC (or equivalent) completion from a college/institute located in any designated district of Balochistan, namely Gwadar, Lasbela/Hub, Kech (Turbat), and Awaran.
  5. Students admitted for a maximum of one academic year/session in any BS program before the advertisement can apply.
  6. Applicant’s age should not exceed 22 years as of the last date.
  7. Those currently benefiting from any other HEC/Government scholarship are ineligible.
  8. Applicants must meet both HEC and respective university admission criteria.
  9. Students awaiting results are not eligible to apply.

Note:

  • Scholarships will be granted based on merit and district quota as per PC-I.
  • Shortlisting will consider educational credentials and aptitude test scores conducted by HEC.
  • Applicants must secure at least 50% marks in the HEC-conducted test.
  • The scholarship merit list will rely on online information provided by applicants, and any misrepresentation/error/omission may result in the cancellation of the scholarship at any stage.

How to Apply:

 

  1. To apply, applicants must submit online applications via the HEC website. Use the following application link: https://scholarships.hec.gov.pk
  2. Hard copies of applications and additional documents are not required at this initial stage.
  3. A non-refundable application processing fee of Rs. 500/- must be deposited at Habib Bank Limited, Account No: 1742 7900 1334 01, Account Title: Higher Education Commission, Branch Code: 1742.
  4. The original bank payment record/slip should be uploaded with the online application and safely retained by the applicant. It must be presented at the examination center, as no one will be allowed to take the test without the original bank deposit slip.
  5. After completing the application form, the applicant should submit the online application. Incomplete or insecure applications in any respect will not be considered.
  6. HEC reserves the right to postpone or cancel the scholarship process at any stage without providing any reason.
  7. The deadline for the submission of online applications is 30 November 2023.
