Additionally, PPL generates revenue from partner-operated producing fields such as Qadirpur, Kirthar, Tal, Sawan, Nashpa, and Latif.

PPL is actively involved in exploration activities in Iraq and Yemen. The company carries out projects in collaboration with the Government of Balochistan through Bolan Mining Enterprise (BME) to extract mineral resources within the state. Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has introduced special scholarship programs for students from PPL-producing districts nationwide who are currently enrolled in professional bachelor’s/master’s degree programs at public sector universities. These scholarships are available for students in Dera Bugti, Kashmore District, District Matriari, District Sanghar, District Chakwal, District Attock, and Tehsil Gujar Khan. Female students eligible for these scholarships studying at any public sector university in Balochistan are also strongly encouraged to apply.

To apply for the scholarship, interested candidates can submit their applications online through the Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) website. The deadline for submitting applications for the PPL Scholarship is November 28, 2023.

PPL Scholarship for Balochistani Students in District Dera Bugti to Pursue Higher Professional Education

With the aim of fostering inter-provincial harmony and supporting education, these scholarships are specifically designed for students from District Dera Bugti, Balochistan, who are currently enrolled in public sector universities or institutions located in provinces other than Balochistan.

Note: Female students meeting the eligibility criteria, studying at public sector universities or institutions in Balochistan, are also strongly encouraged to apply.

PPL Scholarship for Punjab and Sindh

Scholarship assistance is available for students from various regions, specifically those attending Higher Education Commission (HEC)-recognized institutions. These scholarships support enrollment in public sector educational institutions to help students achieve their educational goals.

Pakistan  Petroleum Limited PPL Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Students meeting the following criteria are eligible to apply for scholarships under the relevant scheme mentioned above:

  • Must be a legitimate, domiciled resident of the respective district.
  • Should have achieved a minimum of 60% marks in the most recent examination.
  • Should be in the early stages of their degree program, preferably in the 1st year.
  • Age should not exceed 28 years.
  • Must not have a history of criminal activities or acts of moral turpitude.
  • Should not be benefiting from any other scholarship under a different scheme.
  • Must lack sufficient financial resources and demonstrate a need for financial support.
  • Should have secured admission in public sector universities or institutes.

The scholarships will be awarded for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension up to 4 years contingent upon the satisfactory academic performance of the awardee and the availability of funds for the scheme.
